Jonathan Hughes is a Sound Mixer in Dallas, TX. He has worked in Location Audio as a Production Sound Recordist for several years and has contributed to TV and Film projects that air on some of the country's largest networks.

In 2009, Jonathan got his start working as a production assistant on ESPN 30 for 30's 'Pony Excess.' About a week into filming the documentary, he fell in love with the production process and knew that entertainment production is where he was meant to be. The documentary went on to become an Emmy and Peabody Award winning film. From the beginning, he had seen production at the highest level and got to learn from some of the industry's most talented individuals.

Previous to having found his new passion, Jonathan had already owned and operated 2 recording studios in Dallas. So he was far from unfamiliar with the recording and mixing process. Albums he had recorded & mixed could be found on shelves at retail stores across the region and he had mixed songs that were playing on local and national radio stations.

Wanting to bridge the gap between his talents as a mixer and his love for film and TV production, Jonathan discovered that sound design and audio post production would be his way in. The things you learn on your own and have a talent for can only take you so far, so opted for the formal education in sound engineering. He studied under Grammy winning mixers like Tim Kimsey and James Dumaine at the Dallas Sound Lab graduated with a mission to entertain in 2012. 4 long years and many odd jobs later, DLP Entertainment Group based in Los Angeles, gave Jonathan an opportunity to mix a show for the NFL Network. Eventually more work came in and other clients started to reach out. So Jonathan ventured out into the field, so he could offer location sound mixing services to his clients.

Since then, his work has been aired on networks like ESPN, TBS, Disney, FOX Sports, El Rey Network, CBS Sports, NBC, FS1, NFL Network, Roku, Crackle and Amazon Prime. His work has also been a contribution to companies like Toyota, JP Morgan, Alliance Bank, Gatorade, LA Lakers, LA Rams, UCLA Health, EA Sports, iHeart Radio, Eastbay and many many more!
